Wander with Wonder Launches Today: our Disney Destiny Review (Plus What We’re Sailing Next)

Today’s a big one.

I’m officially launching Wander with Wonder, a new series where I try to do cruise content the way my brain naturally wants to do it: informal, educational, and honestly… a little nerdy. Less “ooh shiny,” more “okay but why is this good?” and “what are you actually getting for the money?”

Episode 1 is our full Disney Destiny review, premiering today at 4:00 PM Arizona time (MST). And yes—this includes a transparent, detailed price breakdown with real numbers and real context, because “worth it” is meaningless without the math.

What Wander with Wonder is (and isn’t)

This series is for anyone who loves cruising but also wants the truth behind the marketing.

I’m going to break ships down in a way that’s useful:

  • how the ship flows (or doesn’t)

  • what feels premium vs. what feels like hype

  • what I’d repeat, what I’d skip

  • and how the experience stacks up against the price

Basically: a cruise review for people who like magic and spreadsheets.

Disney Destiny Vlogs: Day 3 is Live (Day 4 hits Friday)

The review is the organized “let’s analyze this ship” video.

But if you want the real-time version—the family chaos, the funny moments, the “how did we end up doing five things at once” energy—our vlogs are where that lives.

I went full LOTR this week (and it was AMAZING)

This week I went to see the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions back in theaters, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of those “I forgot how much I love this” experiences.

It’s been 25 years since Fellowship hit theaters, and seeing the trilogy again on a giant screen—surrounded by people who were just as into it—was honestly awesome.

The theaters were packed, and the nerdiest part? A bunch of people showed up dressed up. It had that rare vibe where you’re not just watching a movie—you’re in a room full of people who get it.

Which brings me to…

Next Up: Comic-Con: The Cruise (aka my natural habitat)

We’re sailing Comic-Con: The Cruise (Vol. 02) January 30 – February 3, 2026, on Celebrity Constellation, Tampa to Nassau.

And this isn’t just “a cruise but nerdy”—it’s built around fandom: panels, workshops, themed parties, Artists’ Alley, merch, and autograph/photo sessions.

Also—yes—we’re doing great costumes on this cruise. If the ship has a hallway, it’s now a runway.

And the main mission for me:

I’m getting Merry and Pippin’s autographs—Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd—to complete my Lord of the Rings tattoo.

When I say I’m a big fan, I mean I’m out here trying to finish a tattoo like it’s a quest objective.

Also coming soon: Disney Fantasy (and Noelle thinks it’ll be her favorite)

We’ve got Disney Fantasy coming up too—and Noelle is already convinced it might end up being her favorite ship.

So… stay tuned, because if Noelle declares something her favorite, that’s basically a headline in our household.

Why we’re excited (and why we need this)

We’ve been working like crazy. And yes—these trips are still work for us: filming, editing, posting, planning, repeat.

But we’ve learned that cruises can still be what we need most: a reset.

Even when it’s a work trip, we find little pockets of time to rest, breathe, recoup, and come back better. And that part is non-negotiable.

See you at 4 PM (AZ Time)
